28 Weeks

I will officially be in the third trimester tomorrow. Nathan got this picture of me and Sadie this weekend. Some days I feel like my belly is about to burst....I know I still have a long way to go, but I cannot see how it is possible for it to get much bigger. Sometimes now I feel like there is no room in my tummy for my food. And when the baby kicks, it looks like his (or her) foot is about to pop right out!

We Bought a Crib

We planted the cool weather plants in our garden this weekend. This year we are trying lettuce, spinach, collards, cauliflower, radishes, snap peas, and snow peas. When it gets warmer we will plant tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, jalepeno peppers, and banana peppers. Hopefully we will be able to keep the rabbits out of the garden this year. I already saw one running around our yard this weekend.

Yesterday we went to a consignment sale for parents. We got to go to the pre-sale for first time mothers. Our big purchase was a crib. It took some work to get it inside and now we will have to disassemble it to get it into the baby's room.

Starting the Garden

The weather was beautiful at the beginning of February so we took a break from working on the baby's room and worked on getting the garden ready for the summer. We added a thick layer of compost that we picked up from the Cobb County Composting Facility.

Sadie loves it when we work in the yard. And she loves the truck.

We also went to Callaway Gardens with Joanna, Nick and Julia over the weekend. We rode bikes and had a picnic. If only our gardens looked like theirs...maybe one day.

Ultrasound

Here are some pictures from the ultrasound on Monday. The doctor said everything looks good and the baby's size is right on track. We were trying to figure out who the baby looks like from the last picture.

We are beginning our blog to keep family and friends updated on what is going on with baby Welden.  With much pressure from our parents, we are entering the digital age.  No cell phone, no cable TV, and only dial-up internet - but we now have a blog.

Baby Flicky is 18 weeks along and is kicking like crazy.  We are looking forward to our ultrasound on Monday.
