Thanksgiving

We visited the Weldens over Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun to hang out with family that we have not seen in a while. Grandma was even able to come home for our big dinner. Here is Anya with her cousin Kate.

Anya in her Christmas dress. What a cutie!

At home Anya has started to enjoy playing the keyboard...she was thrilled when Mimi introduced her to a real piano.

Anya also enjoyed Hunter. She seemed to really love him.

Anya was a little fussy while visiting Grandma, but she changed her tune when Mimi took her for a ride in Grandma's wheelchair. She loved the ride!

Here is Anya with her Aunt Rachel and cousin Kate. Kate made the hat Anya is wearing.

Anya's Baptism

Anya was all dolled up for her baptism. She wore the same baptism gown as her Aunt Rachel and Aunt Abby, which was very special. What a cutie!

The weather was perfect for our backyard BBQ afterwards. Nothing is more fun than having a houseful (or yardful) of family and friends.

The guys had to check out the garden. Eating peppers straight off the bush...yummmmm.

Mom and Rachel looking after the babies. Anya and her cousin Amos are only 2 weeks apart in age!

A friendly game of bocce is always in order on such a beautiful day!

Julia had it all figured out...she graced several people with the honor of pulling her around the yard.

Anya has not quite figured out how to shake her rattle, but she sure likes it when I shake it for her. I put it on her foot sometimes when I am folding laundry so that she can entertain herself. When I looked back at her, I realized she was only kicking the leg with the rattle...I guess she figured out what it took to make that fun sound!

Anya loves her snuggly blanket. She has been really into chewing blankets (any fabric, really. Her most recent favorite is her shirt). I think this is due to her recent rejection of her passie.

Anya LOVES taking baths. She never cries in the bath, so sometimes I put her in when she is fussy. The only problem is she cries when it is time to get out.

We still love hiking at Sweetwater Creek State Park...now we get to take Anya with us. This was our first time at this park since her birth. We were hiking here a few weeks before she was born when we saw a snake near the water. We were a pretty good ways out and Nathan thought we should head back near civilization. I don't think he wanted to have to carry me back if I got bit!
Anya loves her carrier, especially when her Daddy is carrying her. I don't know what I am going to do when she grows out of it. I recently have seen some back carriers that I may have to try out.

The Trouble with Videos....

The trouble with videos is that Anya is now facinated with the camera. Any time she is doing something cute, as soon as I pull out the camera she stops and stares. She loves the camera. She is babbling a lot now and I would like to get it on camera, so I have tried putting the camera behind her head. This makes for a shaky and misdirected video, and she still somehow finds the camera.

But the video is still great because she is so cute :)
